Understand the pattern

The final operator decision combines contract, evidence, quality, safety and recovery. A production-looking answer is not sufficient when a required gate fails.

Interpret the evidence

Hold promotion until retrieval freshness is restored and revalidated, keeping rollback ready.

A tempting mistake

Promote from quality and privacy scores while ignoring stale evidence.

All names, measurements, prices, versions, and thresholds in this exercise are fictional training data. The evidence supports this bounded scenario, not a claim about a live provider.

Worked example and expected result
$ cat /opt/ai-lab/cases/aiops-incidents-capstones-012.json
{
  "fixture": "Fictional training data; not a live measurement.",
  "request_valid": true,
  "retrieval_fresh": false,
  "quality_gate": "pass",
  "privacy_gate": "pass",
  "rollback_ready": true
}

Exit status: 0. The command completed successfully in the training fixture.

$ jq .retrieval_fresh /opt/ai-lab/cases/aiops-incidents-capstones-012.json
false

Exit status: 0. The command completed successfully in the training fixture.

$ printf '%s\n' 'hold-stale-evidence-release' > /home/learner/lab/aiops-incidents-capstones-012-decision.txt
(no output; exit 0)

Exit status: 0. The command completed successfully in the training fixture.

Try a variation

Name the assumption that would have to change for “hold-stale-evidence-release” to stop being the justified action. Do not silently replace missing evidence with a guess.

Explain it

What does the evidence in “AI operations final capstone” justify?

Apply it elsewhere

A colleague concludes: “Promote from quality and privacy scores while ignoring stale evidence.” What should you do?

Keep the momentum.

Complete the lab, then explain and apply the pattern.
